'Father of the Pentium' returns to his professional launching pad

When you consider the sheer breadth of the Pentium chip’s usage and impact, it’s fair to wonder if any University of Cincinnati alumnus has made a greater difference than the iconic microprocessor’s principal creator, Vinod Dham, CEAS ’77, who received the William Howard Taft Medal of Notable Achievement in 2026 – the UC Alumni Association's highest honor.

Engineering professor named KEEN Fellow

Dhuree Seth, assistant professor educator in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, is one of 30 engineering faculty members nationwide who were named 2026 KEEN Engineering Unleashed Fellows. The University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science has been a partner of the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN) since 2024. Seth has been part of KEEN since she was a PhD student more than 10 years ago.
