The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics' CFD 2030 Integration Committee has announced the formation of the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Vision 2045 Team, a multi-institution working group tasked with defining where the field of computational fluid dynamics should be by 2045 to align with the changing and evolving needs of the aerospace industry. The University of Cincinnati's Prashant Khare, Bradley Jones professor and head of the Department of Aerospace Engineering, is leading this specialized group.

The University of Cincinnati’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition challenges graduate students to explain their research or scholarship to people outside their field in just three minutes using a single slide. Applications for the 2027 competition open Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, giving graduate students a chance to sharpen a skill that can make a difference far beyond graduate school.

Pradeep Ramtel has been conducting research on river water since he was an undergraduate student in Nepal. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Cincinnati and is studying under Associate Professor Dongmei Feng. His research uses collected data and machine learning to better assess risks to river water quality and prepare for problems before they arise. Recently, he was named Graduate Student Engineer of the Month by UC's College of Engineering and Applied Science.
