MDDI Interviews Prof. Mary Beth Privitera

Prof. Privitera

Brian Buntz of MDDI published his interview with UC professor, Mary Beth Privitera, on the subject of "Pushing the Boundaries of Innovation in Medtech" on December 13, 2011.

Medical device innovation is the application of a new idea or method that is readily accepted in clinical practice, explains University of Cincinnati professor Mary Beth Privitera. In order to provide the foundation of acceptance for an invention (a novel device, in this case), a thorough understanding of the problem as well as the context of the problem is required. In this Q&A, which is the second part of a two-part interview, Privitera explains her thoughts on clinical monitoring of physicians, personas, and visual mapping in design work.
